Description

Originally produced on Broadway in 1937 and best remembered today for
the zany movie released in 1938 starring the Marx Brothers. This is the
story of a nimble-witted producer, living on credit with several actors
in a Broadway hotel, desperately in need of a good script. He finds
one, and, by great good luck, he also finds an angel (backer) with
$15,000. This comedy shows how, in a hectic few days, the producer
plays hide and seek with the angel who wants to withdraw his support,
outwits creditors and, at the very last moment the show goes on,
overcoming all of the ludicrous and unexpected obstacles
