Description

Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic For Our Time is the first full length documentary to explore the life and work of the great American naturalist and environmentalist Aldo Leopold. The film traces his career and its impact, as one of the first major thinkers to explore the ethical implications of an ecological understanding of the Earth.
For fourteen years, the Environmental Film Festival has brought compelling and important films to the Tampa Bay area and the Eckerd College community in order to raise awareness and promote discussion of questions relating to nature, place, and the environment. Film scholars and filmmakers from around the world engage the audience in lively discussions of the environmental perspectives contained in documentary, animated, experimental and feature films.
