Description
Make your Lenten observance more meaningful by attending a performance of the Last Supper Drama, as presented by the men of the West Des Moines United Methodist Church, 7 p.m. March 23 at the Norwalk United Methodist Church, 1801 Sunset Drive, Norwalk, Iowa.
This drama, based on Leonardo Da Vinci’s well-known painting, shows the disciples of Jesus Christ around the table after Jesus announces that one of them will betray him, to which the disciples talk about their association with Jesus Christ and ask, “Is it I?”.
To get to the Norwalk United Methodist Church, take Iowa highway 28 into the city of Norwalk. The church will be on the southwest corner of Iowa highway 28 and Gordon Avenue.
This season marks the 43rd season for the drama, which is presented by the men of the West
Des Moines United Methodist Church. The drama has been presented over 200 venues around the state such as the Iowa State Center, as far away as Nashville, TN and even on television. About 20 individuals are involved with the presentation of the drama each year.
