Sheriff Leon Lott Walks Naked in the Park

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott believes that health and wellness are paramount toward having the most professional law enforcement agency in the State. Likewise, it is extremely important for all citizens to get yearly physicals, heart screenings and to live healthy lifestyles.

On Saturday, February 25, 2012 between 3:00-5:00 PM at Finlay Park Sheriff Leon Lott will "Walk Naked in the Park" to raise awareness about heart disease and funds for the American Heart Association for lifesaving research. This event will also provide the opportunity for you to learn more about staying heart healthy.

You and your four-legged pals are invited to join the Sheriff as he walks “Naked in the Park”. You can also walk on your own if you would like. Registration begins at 2:30 PM, walk starts at 3:30 PM. The fee is $25.00 and includes a t-shirt & dog treat bag. The walk will happen rain or shine. You can also pre-register by going to www.midlandsheartwalk.org - look for the “Find a Team” link on the left side of the page- then click “Naked Dog Walk”.

Sheriff Leon Lott states that he will continue to require deputies to receive yearly physicals and continue to provide support and resources for optimal health and wellness.
